About Adventure Australia

Pioneering Active Recreation Experiences Since 2010

Our Story

Adventure Australia began as a dream shared by three passionate adventurers who met during a challenging trek through the Blue Mountains in 2009. What started as a casual conversation around a campfire about sharing Australia's incredible natural beauty with the world has evolved into one of the country's most trusted adventure tourism companies.

Founded in Sydney in 2010, we started with just two guided hiking tours and a small inflatable boat for harbor adventures. Our founders, driven by their love for the Australian outdoors and commitment to sustainable tourism, quickly realized that travelers were seeking more than just sightseeing – they wanted authentic, transformative experiences that connected them with nature and local culture.

Over the past 14 years, we've grown from a small startup to a comprehensive adventure tourism operator, but we've never lost sight of our core mission: creating life-changing experiences while preserving the natural environments that make Australia so extraordinary. Today, we operate across all major Australian destinations, from the tropical waters of the Great Barrier Reef to the rugged landscapes of the Outback, always maintaining our commitment to small group sizes and personalized service.

What sets us apart is our deep respect for indigenous cultures and our partnerships with local Aboriginal communities. We believe that understanding the land's traditional custodians enriches every adventure, providing context and meaning that transforms a simple tour into a profound cultural exchange.
